Problems faced in ITR OnLine and their solutions :

Installation Problems:

On running setup from CD for a node installation, the installation process does not proceed after the message "Setup is initializing. Please wait....".

When setup is run from the new updated ITR OnLine CD to update the ITROnLine already installed in the system the system is not getting updated with the latest Data.

In a multi-user installation when executing ITR in node , error message "155-Protection Invalid" comes up.

Error message "Error 155: Protection invalid" appears in the single user installation.

Whenever setup is run nothing comes up except the error or some times Copies the intial file Oleaut32.dll then goes to "Setup is initializing…." But the system hangs after that. Some times it even goes till "Copying files" and gives the error SETUPAPI has caused an invalid page fault or some times the message ITR OnLine is not a valid Win32 Application.

In ITR OnLine GPF error occurred : "Setup has caused an invalid page fault in module. SETUPAPI.DLL at 0137: 70e554dd and when setup is run from ITR OnLine it gives another GPF : "Setup caused an invalid page fault in module" RICHED32.DLL at 0137:6C003243.

"Handle is invalid" message is displayed when setup is run from the CD in the Server to do node installation. The Message Box caption is the exe whichever is double clicked to run e.g., setup.exe or itr32.exe.

Activation Problems:

After ITROnLine installation and entering the activation code an error message "50003 ....." pops up.

Error message "Invalid Activation" comes up after entering the activation code to activate ITROnLine.

Error message "Active X can’t create object" appears on running ITR OnLine after entering the activation code.

Error message "Active X can’t create object" appears before entering the activation code.

After entering the activation the error mesage " 2: " comes instead of the message "Successfully activated".

Error 45: Cannot move Unactivated Copy on entering the activation code gernerated by older ITR OnLine installation containing Version 1.7 protection.

The machine restarts after the message informing that certains files are to be registered. But even Activate option does not work.

42: Code separate for wrong version

On entering the activation code error No. 32 is displayed.

Database Problems:

Error message "Invalid Password" comes up on running ITR OnLine.

File with Machine Name and extension .MDB is not created while running ITR OnLine first time or not present in the installed directory.

Error message Not a valid password appears on running ITR OnLine.

In ITR OnLine when setup is run to install over the previously installed directory, after clicking the FINISH button a message comes up sauing "Sharing Violation. Please ensure that no one else is using the ITR OnLine" though no one uses the ITR OnLine.

Creating Database or Verifying Database progress bar does not come on running ITR.

Creating Database progress bar went half way through then jumped to the end and no option is working.

Error messages indicating error in ODBC files and disabling of ODBC connection option for Access Database as in the Access 2000 was already installed by when setup from ITR OnLine was run it had OVERWRITTEN the all the ODBC related files with the old one from the CD. Even after re-installing and re-pairing of Office 2000 installation did not work

Search Problems:

Clicking on the Cases option, nothing happens.

Black boxes appears instead of text in headnotes and catchwords.

Word search and subject search does not work.

Error message "Flexmover:Unable to create record set".

Text of judgments, headnotes and catchwords is not displayed and an error message "no judgement text" comes up.

Subject wise option not working.

In ITR OnLine "Judgement pages not available" is the text of the judgement in all the cases.

In ITR OnLine on clicking Acts the window was coming without the list of Acts, only with the status text box and section list box.

When Subject tab is choosen from the Shortlist option the error "flx-Cannot Create object" or "flx- Cannot open recordset" comes up.

Group-wise search option is not working.

Group Search not working

Even after getting the message "Your request was successful. Fetching Records... " in Subject wise or Reference wise option no case is displayed in the Case window.

Cases, Rules etc option not working though Acts option is working. Progress bar went till the end.

Subject-wise, Word-Phrase, Group-wise search options are not working even after copying the MSCOMCTL.OCX file from CD to C:\Windows\System. The customer had copied the entire content onto the hard disk in a folder and is using that folder to run ITR OnLine.

On opening a Acrobat Form error " Page fault in MSVCRT…."

On opening the form 12.pdf error "Either the file G:\forms\form12.pdf not found or one of its components is missing"

Group search and Short List not working. Nothing happens on clicking the icon

Some times the Group search icon is blank some times the Section search icon is blank and in Group search screen the Court, Sections etc (it was found that wherever the FlexGrid with two columns was used the values were not listed) was not listed even after re-running setup successfully as per the procedure.

General:

In ITR Income Tax Laws options are not working.

General Protection Fault messages indicating error in the files MSVCRT or Kernel32.dll or any other windows files while choosing the option Circulars/Notifications in ITR OnLine.

"Run Time Error 0" error message with the Message Box heading as "Controls" comes when running ITR OnLine.

ITROL not working on Novell server.

Error message Msvbvm50.dll file is linked to missing Oleaut32.dll.

Error message "118 : Write Error" is displayed when ITR OnLine is executed.

General Protection Fault error occurred when executing ITROnLine from the new location (D:\ITROL) where it was installed by uninstalling from C:\ITROL due to non-availability of sufficient space in C:\ITROL.

How to change the path to which the desktop icon refers to the new location of ITR OnLine ?

Error message "Wrong Master Disk" is coming.

Error message "Could not locate CD ending session" is coming in the node.

No. 13: Error Reading Drive

43 Wrong Master Disk

160: Novell error with CCC file

"Unknown Error" on running ITR OnLine.

The message "An upgraded version ITR OnLine CD is present. To update you will have to run setup" comes even after updating the installation after running setup.

Message "Past Expiry Date:" comes in Yearly Option, after installation, eventhough the user is entitled to use ITR Online.

Steps to be followed : For installing Multi user

Please do refer the last pages of the User Manual which also contains the general problems that a customer might face and their solutions.

Problem: After ITROnLine installation and entering the activation code an error message "50003 ....." pops up.

Solution: Re-run setup from the CD on the same installed location.

Problem: In ITR Income Tax Laws options are not working.

Solution: For this options to work Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher version should be installed.

Problem: On running setup from CD for a node installation, the installation process does not proceed after the message "Setup is initializing. Please wait....".

Solution:

Step 1: Go to the Windows explorer and check for the existence of regsvr32 in Windows\System directory. If it does not exist, copy that file along with Oleaut32.dll and Richtx32.ocx files from CD root into Windows\System directory.

Step 2: Go to Start/Run and type the command :

regsvr32 C:\Windows\system\richtx32.ocx Press Enter then,

regsvr32 C:\Windows\system\oleaut.dll

A message indicating registered successfully will come up. Now re-run the setup to install the product.

NOTE : In a multi-user installations all the data files are copied onto the server and the system files are copied onto the Windows\System directory of the nodes to enable it to access the ITR OnLine installed in the server. Hence, little space is required in the nodes.

Problem: Error message "Invalid Password" comes up on running ITR OnLine.

Solution: Delete the files with extension .MDB present in the installed directory and copy ITRDATA.MDB from the CD onto the installed directory and run ITROnLine as usual.

Problem: General Protection Fault messages indicating error in the files MSVCRT or Kernel32.dll or any other windows files while choosing the option Circulars/Notifications in ITR OnLine.

Solution: Delete the files with extension SAV from the installed directory and run ITROnLine as usual. This problem may arise if the ITROnLine is exited without maximizing the window of the Circular/Notification option. This error was arising only in the earlier version of ITROnLine.

Problem: Error message "Invalid Activation" comes up after entering the activation code to activate ITROnLine.

Solution: Activation code must be entered in lower case and without space. The activation code does not contain any ‘O’ but can contain ‘0’(zero).

Problem: When setup is run from the new updated ITR OnLine CD to update the ITROnLine already installed in the system the system is not getting updated with the latest Data.

Solution: Go to Windows explorer and in the properties of the file check the date of creation of the setup32 file in the CD, as there will be sessions problem in the CD drive(if CD drive is of older version). To solve this kind of problem a new CD is required.

Problem: "Run Time Error 0" error message with the Message Box heading as "Controls" comes when running ITR OnLine.

Solution: Delete ITRCTRLS.OCX from the C:\Windows\System directory and run the ITR as usual. In case the problem persists re-run the setup and install on the same directory.

Problem: In a multi-user installation when executing ITR in node , error message "155-Protection Invalid" comes up.

Solution: Go to Start\Settings\Control Panel\Date/Time and select the tab TimeZone in the NODE and set them to "Bombay,Delhi,Calcutta,Madras" as in the SERVER and re-run the setup in the node.

Problem: Clicking on the Cases option, nothing happens.

Solution: Copy Mfc42.dll from CD into C:\Windows\System. Go to Start\Run and give the command "C:\Windows\System\regsvr32 C:\Windows\System\Mfc42.dll" Or re-run setup.

Problem: Black boxes appears instead of text in headnotes and catchwords.

Solution: Delete files with extension SAV from the installed directory.

Solution: Re-run setup from the CD and install in the same directory.

Solution: Go to Windows Explorer and except the directory "ITR00001.040"(This is a hidden directory) delete all the other directories and files from the installed directory (C:\ITROL) and re-install in the same directory.

Problem: Error message "Flexmover:Unable to create record set".

Solution: Re-run setup from the CD in the same installed directory.

**************************************************************************

Problem: Error message "Error 155: Protection invalid" appears in the single user installation.

Solution: Re-run setup and install on the same installed directory.

Problem: ITROL not working on Novell server.

Solution: Check for the long file name.

Problem: Text of judgments, headnotes and catchwords is not displayed and an error message "no judgement text" comes up.

Solution: Expand the files implode.dl_ and vbenc.dl_ and itrlib.dl_ to C:\Windows\system from the Bin directory in the CD by giving the command

"Expand CD drive\Bin\<Filename>.dl_ C:\Windows\System\<Filename>.dll".

Then run ITR OnLine as usual.

In case the problem persists:

EXCEPT the protection directory delete all other directories/ file from the installed directory (C:\ITROL) then Run setup from the CD. Say YES for all the files for which the system asks confirmation to overwrite. Ensure that all the Applications are closed.

See that there is not Active desk toolbar or Anti-virus software icon in the righ-end of the taskbar. If present close the same.

Problem: Error message "Active X can’t create object" appears on running ITR OnLine after entering the activation code.

Solution:

Step 1: Copy Oleaut32.ocx from the CD root to C:\Windows\System.

Step2: Go to Start\Run and enter the command

"C:\Windows\System\regsvr32 C:\Windows\System\Oleaut32.ocx".

This should give the message "Successfully Registered". If this fails then re-run setup and install in the same installed directory. If the problem still persists, check for the existence of DAO directory in "C:\Program files \Common files\Microsoft Shared". If not present create the directory in that location and run setup.

Problem:Error message "Active X can’t create object" appears before entering the activation code.

Solution: Rename the Oleaut32.dll in the hard disk. Copy the file from CD root directory to C:\Windows\System and go to START\PROGRAMS\ITROnLine\Activate ITROnLine to enter the activation code.

Problem: Error message Msvbvm50.dll file is linked to missing Oleaut32.dll.

Solution:

Step1: Copy Oleaut32.dll, Olepro32.dll and Msvbvm50.dll from the CD to C:\Windows\System.

Step2 Go to Start\Run and enter the command :

C:\Windows\System\regsvr32 C:\Windows\System\Msvbvm50.dll

This should give the message "Successfully registered"

Problem: Error message Not a valid password appears on running ITR OnLine.

Solution: Delete Ilist.dbx from C:\Windows and copy from CD. Delete the file with Machine Name and extension MDB from the installed directory. Re-run setup.

Problem: Error message "118 : Write Error" is displayed when ITR OnLine is executed.

Solution: Re-run set from the CD and install in the same directory. If still the problem is not solved move the installation to some other system.

Problem: Subject wise option not working.

Solution: Expand the file mscomctl.oc_ to C:\Windows\system from the Bin directory in the CD by giving the following command in the Run window.

"CD drive\Bin\Expand.exe CD drive\Bin\mscomctl.oc_ C:\Windows\System\ mscomctl.ocx".

Problem : General Protection Fault error occurred when executing ITROnLine from the new location (D:\ITROL) where it was installed by uninstalling from C:\ITROL due to non-availability of sufficient space in C:\ITROL.

Solution: Re-run setup from the ITR OnLine CD and install in the currently installed directory( D:\ITROL). This will solve the problem.

Problem : How to change the path to which the desktop icon refers to the new location of ITR OnLine ?

Solution: Right Click in the icon and choose "Properties" option from the menu that pops-up. Select the tab "Shortcut" and type the new path of ITR OnLine (D:\ITROL\Itr.exe) in the box given near the caption "Target". Click the "Apply" command button and "Save" command button.

Problem : Error message "Wrong Master Disk" is coming.

Solution: This error occurs if the activation entered wrongly

Problem : In ITR OnLine GPF error occurred : "Setup has caused an invalid page fault in module. SETUPAPI.DLL at 0137: 70e554dd and when setup is run from ITR OnLine it gives another GPF : "Setup caused an invalid page fault in module" RICHED32.DLL at 0137:6C003243.

Solution:

I

a) Go to C:\Windows directory of the system and delete as many files as possible specifically the files whose names begin with "Syst" followed by any NUMBER.

b) After deleting the files Re-start the machine to refresh the MEMORY.

c) Ensure that you have closed all the TSR programs and Anti-virus softwares running in the system, then re-run setup and install ITR OnLine.

II

1) Remove as many icons as possible that are present near the digital clock. Wait until the screen is refreshed showing only the icons that are not removed.

2) Remove any Active Desktop tool bar.

3) Remove all the TMP files present in Temp,Windows and System folder. Also clear the Recycle Bin.

4) Ensure sufficient space is available in the Hard Disk

5) Now run setup32.exe and do the installation. After completing the installation run setup.exe and OVERWRITE the same installed directory. If already ITR was installed then EXCEPT the protection directory (ITR00001.040) delete all the other directories and files present under the installed directory.

6) Also, we can remove any applications running in the background by pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL then choosing the one the process and clicking End Task. NOTE Explorer and Systray should be left. Find Fast etc can be removed.

7) Finally, the STCCTRLS.OCX should be expanded and copied onto C:\Windows\System file from CD Bin directory then register.

III Copy and Register the following files from CD:

a) Oleaut32.dll from CD root to C:\Windows\System

b) Olepro32.dll from CD root to C:\Windows\System

c) MSVCRT40.dll from CD root to C:\Windows\System

d) Mfc42.dll from CD root to C:\Windows\System

e) MSVCRT.DLL from CD Bin to C:\Windows\System

f) MSVBVM50.DLL from CD Bin to C:\Windows\System

g) MSVBVM60.DLL from CD Bin to C:\Windows\System

h) Riched32.dll from CD Bin to C:\Windows\System

i) Richtx32.ocx from CD Bin to C:\Windows\System

Problem : Whenever setup is run nothing comes up except the error or some times Copies the intial file Oleaut32.dll then goes to "Setup is initializing…." But the system hangs after that. Some times it even goes till "Copying files" and gives the error SETUPAPI has caused an invalid page fault or some times the message ITR OnLine is not a valid Win32 Application.

Solution : Try the option II mentioned above where the files have been listed in priority to copy and register.

Note : This time even after copying and registering the files mentioned above the problem was not solved. Then it was found that the problem was with Creative CD with 24x speed. When the CD was put in 52 Max it was working fine.

Problem : Even after getting the message "Your request was successful. Fetching Records... " in Subject wise or Reference wise option no case is displayed in the Case window.

Solution: EXCEPT the directory "ITR00001.040"(which is a hidden directory) delete all the OTHER directories and files from the installed directory (default directory C:\ITROL) and re-install in the same location. This will solve the problem.

Problem : Error message "Could not locate CD ending session" is coming in the node.

Solution: This error may occur because of the following reasons :

Reason: There may be scratches on the CD due to which the CD drive may not be able to read from the CD.

Solution: Replace with new CD.

Reason: The CD drive may not be clean/proper due to which the CD drive may not be able to read from the CD.

Solution: Clean the CD drive

Reason: If the machine is accessing the CD from another machine, in such a case there may be fault in the network.

Solution: Rectify the network.

Problem : In ITR OnLine "Judgement pages not available" is the text of the judgement in all the cases.

Solution: Ensure that you are using the latest ITR OnLine CD. If yes, run setup from the new CD else do the following:

Except the directory "ITR00001.040" delete all the other directories and files from the installed directory (C:\ITROL) and re-install in the same directory. This will solve your problem.

Solution: Delete the files with extension LDB from the installed directory, then run setup from the CD and install over the same installed directory.

Problem: After entering the activation the error mesage " 2: " comes instead of the message "Successfully activated".

Solution: This error comes up if there is difference in the Version of the protection software used to generate serial from the one used to generate activation code. New activation code is required , which should be generated by the same version of Protection software.

Problem: Error 45: Cannot move Unactivated Copy on entering the activation code gernerated by older ITR OnLine installation containing Version 1.7 protection.

Solution: This error arises if we try to move the Version 1.7 Protection by generating the activation code for Version 2.10. This error can be avoided by updating the Version 1.7 with the Version 2.10 by running setup from the newer Version before moving the installation.

Problem: The machine restarts after the message informing that certains files are to be registered. But even Activate option does not work.

Solution: The problem occurs when the file ITRCTRLS.OCX file from the new version / CD of ITR OnLine does not get registered. This file has to be manually registered by copying it from CD Bin directory to Windows \ System directory. Before that it is better to delete the existing file from C:\Windows\System. Then run ITR as usual.

Problem: When Subject tab is choosen from the Shortlist option the error "flx-Cannot Create object" or "flx- Cannot open recordset" comes up.

Solution: 1) Expand, Copy and register Flexmover.ocx from the CD.

2) Re-run setup and say YES to overwrite the files MSTEXT35.DLL and MSXBSE35.DLL when the system asks confirmation to overwrite the file.

3) Copy these files from the CD Bin directory to C:\Windows\System directory and register them.

Problem: Group-wise search option is not working.

Solution: Delete all the files EXCEPT the protection directory, which is a hidden directory then re-run setup and OVERWRITE the currently installed directory.

**************************************************************************

Problem: Creating Database or Verifying Database progress bar does not come on running ITR.

Solution: Search for the file ITRCTRLS.OCX in the system. Note its path carefully (default C:\Windows\Sytstem). Then delete the same and choose Start\ Run and enter the following command :

D:\Bin\Expand.exe D:\Bin\ITRCTRLS.OC_ C:\Windows\System\ITRCTRLS.OCX

Press Enter. Again choose Start\ Run and enter the following command :

Regsvr32 C:\Windows\System\ITRCTRLS.OCX

Press Enter. You should get the message Successfully Registered or "....Entry point not found..". Any other message will only indicate the failure of the command either due to wrong file name mentioned or path or due to corruption of regsvr32 in the system. In such a case regsvr32 can be accessed by mentioning path for regsvr32 in the command, but should not be copied onto the system.

In case the problem persists do the following :

If there is a file called ITRDATA.MDB in your installation directory(C:\ITROL), please delete it. There will be a file called ITRDATA.MDB in E:\. Copy it onto C:\ITROL.

Now run ITRONLINE

If the problem is not solved, then try this:

Rerun setup.Before running setup, please do the following:

1. Close all the programs that are running. No other application should be running, while installing ITROnLine.

2. Disable the anti virus software, that is being used.

Your problem will be solved.

Check for the presence of DAO350.DLL in the user system which should be in the directory "C:\Program Files\Common Files\ Microsoft Shared\Dao". This path along with the file name should always be mentioned within quotes since the directory name is having two words which while typing in the Run window does not work.

Expand this file, Copy onto the path mentioned above. In case the directory DAO is not found create one. Then register the same file.

In case still the problem persists then expand, copy and register the files VBAJET32.DLL & MSJET35.DLL onto C:\Windows\System.

The ITR can be run as usual.

Problem: No. 13: Error Reading Drive

Solution: Share the installed directory and the CD fully whenever ITR OnLine CD or installation is accessed from some other system as in the case of Multi-user installation.

Problem : Group Search not working

Solution: Re-run setup and overwrite the current installation after deleting all the files and directories EXCEPT the protection directory.

**************************************************************************

Problem : 42: Code separate for wrong version

Solution : It indicates invalid activation code and requires a new activation code.

**************************************************************************

Problem : 43 Wrong Master Disk

Solution : It only indicates that the protection is not properly transferred to machine.
**************************************************************************

Problem : 160: Novell error with CCC file

Solution: Close all TSR’s and ensure has full read and write permissions

**************************************************************************

Problem : Cases, Rules etc option not working though Acts option is working. Progress bar went till the end.

Solution : Delete all the directories except protection directory and remove any icon present near the digital clock (in this case Media Player was present) then overwrite the current installed directory by re-running setup from the CD.

**************************************************************************

Problem : Creating Database progress bar went half way through then jumped to the end and no option is working.

Solution: Delete any TMP files present under the installed directory ITROL and also from C:\Windows\Temp, C:\Windows\System directory that are not in use by any other applications.

**************************************************************************

Problem : Subject-wise, Word-Phrase, Group-wise search options are not working even after copying the MSCOMCTL.OCX file from CD to C:\Windows\System. The customer had copied the entire content onto the hard disk in a folder and is using that folder to run ITR OnLine.

Solution : After closing all the applications and anti-virus software RUN SETUP32.EXE and OVERWRITE the current installed directory. (Note : When first this problem was faced, at the end of the installation product information was displayed with update number 3 and the message "Destination already contains protection" did not come)

Problem : "Handle is invalid" message is displayed when setup is run from the CD in the Server to do node installation. The Message Box caption is the exe whichever is double clicked to run e.g., setup.exe or itr32.exe.

Solution : Due to problem in the system the hard disk was formatted during that time the CD has been unmounted from the server. For this reason the error message was displayed.

Problem : On opening a Acrobat Form error " Page fault in MSVCRT…."

Solution: Rename the system file then expand, copy the file MSVCRT40.DLL and MSVCRT.DLL from CD root directory onto C:\Windows\System. Then register the same.

Problem: On opening the form 12.pdf error "Either the file G:\forms\form12.pdf not found or one of its components is missing"

Solution:

Check the Customer has already acrobat in his machine. If yes check whether the version is 4 or higher. Else install the acroread from the CD

Ensure able to open the file directly from the CD.

**************************************************************************

Problem: On entering the activation code error No. 32 is displayed.

Solution: The reason could be that while issuing the activation code "Unlock-it installation" option was not checked. The other could be that the user do not have the Rights may be because he has not logged on as Administrator.

Problem: Group search and Short List not working. Nothing happens on clicking the icon Solution: Ensure that fm20.dll and fm20enu.dll files are present in C:\Windows\System and are not ZERO bytes in size.

**************************************************************************

Problem: Some times the Group search icon is blank some times the Section search icon is blank and in Group search screen the Court, Sections etc (it was found that wherever the FlexGrid with two columns was used the values were not listed) was not listed even after re-running setup successfully as per the procedure.

Solution: Ensure the C:\Windows\Temp folder is dumped with too many files similarly in Recycle Bin also. If too many files are found in these please remove them and also delete Temporary files found in C:\Windows and in the installed directory (default C:\ITROL) e.g., Syst00001 or VB123.tmp. Now, re-run setup and OVERWRITE the installed directory.

Problem: Error messages indicating error in ODBC files and disabling of ODBC connection option for Access Database as in the Access 2000 was already installed by when setup from ITR OnLine was run it had OVERWRITTEN the all the ODBC related files with the old one from the CD. Even after re-installing and re-pairing of Office 2000 installation did not work

Solution: Copy all ODBC related files from Office 2000 CD onto C:\Windows\System folder and restart the machine to register them so that latest ODBC files are present in the system and enables ODBC connection option.

Problem : "Unknown Error" on running ITR OnLine.

Solution :

1. Just restart the machine.

Now try ITR Online.

2. Go to Start -> run ->

Type: C:\ITROL\itr.exe install

It should say "Destination already contains protection"

C:\ITROL\itr.exe activate

It should show the Product Information.

Then Run ITRONLINE.

3. If that is not solved,

Delete all the files in C:\windows\temp

Empty the recycle bin

Restart the machine.

Try running ITR Online.

4. The product information will contain "Unknown" . After deleting all the files and directories EXCEPT the protection directory STC00001.040 / ITR00001.040 re-run setup and OVERWRITE the installation. If the problem is not solved then fresh installation has to be done and new activation code is required.

**************************************************************************

Problem : The message "An upgraded version ITR OnLine CD is present. To update you will have to run setup" comes even after updating the installation after running setup.

Solution : 1) Copy the ilist.dbx for ITR to C:\Winnt from CD Bin or System directory.

If even then the problem is not solved then do the following to set the system Date format to dd/mm/yyyy :

Choose Start / Settings / Control Panel

Double click Regional options

Click on Date tab to activate

Set the Short Date format to dd/mm/yyyy format.

Click OK.

Problem: Message "Past Expiry Date:" comes in Yearly Option, after installation, eventhough the user is entitled to use ITR Online.

Solution: Please verify the date format in his computer:

1.. Choose Start / Settings / Control Panel
2.. Double click Regional options
3.. Click on Date tab to activate
4.. Set the Short Date format to dd/mm/yyyy format.
5.. Click OK

Hence, the installation date should be proper

Just try reinstalling the software after you have done the following things:

1. Just restart the machine.

Now try ITR Online.

2. If that is not solved, delete all the files in C:\windows\temp

Empty the recycle bin

Restart the machine.

try ITR Online.

3. if that too does not solve the problem, delete all the files Except the Protection directory, reinstall.

Try ITR Online.

**************************************************************************

For installing Multi user : follow these steps:

1. Ask everybody to close ITR Online.

2. Reinstall in the server from the LATEST CD . Please install it from one of the nodes and never do it on the server.

3. You should have administrator rights with all privleges to work on the server.

4. empty the recycle bin and close the anti-virus that is currently running while installation.

5. There should not be any application left open, while installing ITR Online.

6. Ensure that enough free space is in the harddisk and delete all files from c;\windows(winnt)\temp

7. Follow the same procedures on the node also from which the server is going to be installed.

8. Install server from the node.

9. After installation and activation, try running ITR Online from the node, on which the server was installed.

10. If it is runing properly, then proceed with th other nodes.

Moving Protection:

You can move your protection to another machine.(Say B)

If you have any other computer, you may move the protection to the other
computer. After your computer (Say A) is back after service, you can move the
protection back on this computer.

1. Install ITROL on the B, with the same CD that is there in your old machine
Before installing ITR Online follow these steps:

a.. Remove as many icons as possible that are present near the digital
clock.
Wait until the screen is refreshed showing only the icons that are not
removed.
Remove any Active Desktop tool bar.
Remove all the TMP files present in Temp,Windows and System folder. Also
clear the Recycle Bin.
Ensure sufficient space is available in the Hard Disk

2.Now run setup.exe from the CD.
3. Go to Start->Programs->Itr OnLine-> Activate ItrOnline

Make sure that you get a valid serial number other than Zero when you say Start->Programs->Itr OnLine-> Activate ItrOnline in B.
You will have a five digit number against the Product Serial Number.
Please note it down.(Step 1)
4. Go to A.
Go to Start->Programs->Itr OnLine->UnInstall ItrOnline
5. It will as you whether you really want to move the installation to another machine? Say,

Yes.

It will ask whether you had installed it in a new location - Say Yes.
It will prompt you for the new serial number.
Type the 5 digit number that you had noted in Step 1.
6.It will give you one long Activation Code.
Note it down(Step 2) or take a print out
7.Now go to B:
Go to Start->Programs->Itr OnLine-> Activate ItrOnline
Type the activation code that you had noted in Step 2.
There should be no spaces inbetween and nothing should be in Capitals.
8. After you had typed, say OK.
It should say "ItrOnline2.5 successfully activated"
9.Then you can run ItrOnline here, in B.
10. In A, complete the unInstalation process.
